It seems like every year for the part 10 years I say I’m going to live a healthier lifestyle and every year I fail miserably. By the end of Feb I’m stuffing my face and making excuses not to go to the gym. This year, I’m taking a new approach. It’s my one day at a time. Before when I had a bad day, I’d just give up, but this year, if I have a bad day, like eating something I’m not supposed to or not going to the gym like I should, I’ll just get back on the wagon and keep trying. Someone once told me, that every destination begins with one footstep and living a healthier lifestyle is a marathon, not a sprint.

I am officially over American Idol. I used to live for this show, but I think I started losing my joy in watching it starting with Season five when my favorite Chris Doughtry came in fourth place. Granted he’s gone on to become one of the most sucessful contestants, but it still nagged the hell out of me. And then season six, call me crazy but I actually liked Sanjaya. Sure he was a trainwreck, but he was entertaining. He kept me amused. After he was voted off, my interest began to dim. I decided to watch this season, because I like watching from the beginning to see if there’s anyone I’d like to cheer for. No one really caught my attention, and the bad auditions didn’t amuse me, but they sure as hell annoyed me. The thing that used to be great about the bad auditions were for the most part the people really believed they had talent and then found out otherwise. Now, it’s a bunch of people who know they suck but only want their 15 minutes of fame. I guess I’ll continue watching this season, but I think its may be the last season I actively watch.

I am always the last person to own the latest technology that everyone already has. I still had the blue brick cell phone when everyone was getting camera phones, I finally got a camera phone when everyone had razors, and I still have that old camera phone even though everyone else now has flip phones, and keypad phones. So finally, today, I purchased an Ipod. Yes, I finally own something the rest of the world probably already has, lol. Next, I’ll work on getting an upgrade on my cell phone.
